Some of our customers have access to multiple railroads at the same location, allowing them to ship and receive railcars cars via both options. These customers are considered “Dual Serviced”
- DREI – ADM – CN & NS
- DREI – PREMIENT – CN & NS
- TIBR – BOISE CASCADE/PCA – CPKC
- AUT – INTERNATIONAL PAPER – CSXT
- AUT – JAMES HARDIE – CSXT
- KNWA – WVA MANUFACTURING – CSXT
When cars come in for these customers, there are two options for placement in WATSS.
- Option 1: This car will place as normal on the customer’s track and will remain in placement until either the car is billed out to leave through our lines or through the Dual Service railroad. – This is the method for the TIBR, AUT, & KNWA
- If billed to leave through our lines, the car will release and travel as normal to interchange.
- If billed to leave through the Dual Service Road, the customer should notify us of the car leaving and ask us to remove the car from our inventory. At which point, we release the car from placement and deliver the car to the SHOP.

- Option 2: The cars will be released and delivered via a report worked as soon as the cars are placed to the customer's facility. This is the method for both customers on the DREI

Upon release from the customer's facility for travel through our lines from a Dual Service Road, the customer or crews will request the cars be brought online. We bring these cars online with outbound billing from the SHOP.
