REMOVE FROM MULTI-CAR WAYBILL

STEP 1:  Find car and go to switch list - waybill - secondary folder

STEP 2: Establish whether or not the car you plan to remove is a head car (U) or the attached cars (Z)

If it is the head car, you will have to remove it from being the head car by making the next car in line the head car.

STEP 3: Remove from head car. Select Delete Equipment. If this step doesn't apply to your situation, continue to step 4.

Type in the next car in line (2/22 - KO 17189) and select MAKE LEAD CAR button. This will remove (KO 20792) from your head car position and will make (KO 17189) your head car.

AGAIN, YOU MUST REMOVE YOUR HEAD CAR BY SELECTING ANOTHER CAR IN IT'S PLACE.

SEE IMAGE BELOW: KO 17189 is now the head car. You can move on to remove KO 20792 from your multi-car waybill.

STEP 4: Now that you have selected another railcar as your head car, you can remove KO 20792 from your Multi-car waybill. Select Delete Equipment again.

Select the car that you want and then hit “remove” (it may take a minute, but when it is complete, you will get a message saying, “this is complete” just push “OK”.

Now the car you need to make changes to should be removed from your multi-car waybill. This will give it a new Waybill control number that differs from the other 22 railcars.

ADD TO MULTI CAR WAYBILL

Now, let's say that KO 20792 was actually supposed to be KO 20797, and the customer billed it wrong.

Note: It is easier to add a correct railcar ID with the old railcar ID still in the multicar waybill. But if it has already been removed you can do steps 1 - 3. Just remember to take note of the weight and weight status of the original railcar ID

(KO 20792) since it won't be part of your multicar waybill. You can take a snapshot for reference if needed.

MAKE SURE KO 20792 IS NOT THE LEAD CAR. We will be removing it once KO 20797 is added.

STEP 1: Type your railcar into a switch list. Click into your waybill - Select Edit.

Fill in the popup and select submit.

STEP 2: Once your waybill edit is enabled go to the secondary folder.

Find the railcar we want to edit: KO 20792. In this instance it's still part of the multi-car waybill and is railcar 9 out of 22.

Take note of the weight and status of that weight.

STEP 3: Select Add Equipment. Fill out your information.

AGAIN, MAKE SURE YOUR WEIGHTS MATCH! Click OK

STEP 4: Your new railcar number KO 20297 has been added.

You will now follow the REMOVE FROM MULTI-CAR WAYBILL process and remove KO 20292.

Once your old railcar is removed and your new railcar is added you are finished!

Note: sometimes nonexistent railcar ID's get added to a multicar waybill and need to be deleted. If this was the case and KO 20792 wasn't an actual car ID, you will need to go into your White Waybill Que and delete any pending billing you have on this railcar. This is also called "KILL BILL".

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

REMOVING A RAILCAR ID FROM WHITE WAYBILL QUE.

STEP 1: Click White Waybill Que and type in your railcar.

Take note of the Waybill Control Number. Write it down or snip it.

STEP 2: Click Utilities - Update Waybill Status Ind

STEP 3: Type in your railcar ID and select CMP. Click Update.

Now the nonexistent railcar billing has been deleted and should not be circulating in the billing que.

You are done!
