When Williams has bad order cars, they are repaired at their facility by a private contractor, not the KO mechanical team.
We have worked with Operations and put a process in place for these cars that will hopefully help to avoid confusion from the customer and the crews. When these bad orders are sent in, please follow the steps below:
- DO NOT BADO THE CARS, instead, keep the cars in PAC status and blocked to WILMID.
- Add special instructions stating the bad order reason.
- Add switch instructions “BADO WILLIAMS” and save.
This way the customer will still be able to see the cars on hand and they won’t show on the crew’s B/O reports.
