The KO is very limited in its’ certifications for working on tanker cars. They can only preform very limited repairs to these cars; (ie, brake shoe, stenciling, missing ladder step.) Almost any mechanical issue with Williams or Oneok cars will have to be repaired by a Mobile Repair Unit (MRU.) We use the designation of “Hot Listed” for these cars.

Your main contacts for Hot Listed cars will be Jackson Fuselier (Oneok) and Dominic Bevilacqua (Williams.) Emails for this, will not always be very clear up front.

You will want to verify if the KO will be making these repairs or, if a mobile unit will be sent in. If the KO will be making the repairs, place the car into bad order for the specified reason and email KOBadOrders like normal. Make sure the car is not in PAC or PCO. Use RMT/RCP to release the car.

If a mobile unit is being sent it, the car needs to be put into PCO status. The car will typically be empty and PAC. You will need to RMT and PCO the car. Then add to the Switch Instructions “HOT LISTED MRU” or “HOT LISTED __mechanical issue___”

While our customers use Bad Order and Hot Listed interchangeably, they are not.

Bad order cars should not be on the customer’s clock; Hot listed cars should be on their clock.
