In Houston, when a car is reported in bad order, empty or loaded, please put the car in bad order status (BLG move) with the reason for bad order. Block the car to the RIPTRK and send an email to Keith Johnson (kjohnson@watco.com), Houston MRU (houstonmruteam@watco.com) and Ops with the car number, what track it’s in with car sequence number and the reason for bad order.
Occasionally the BNSF system cars will be bad ordered for gate issues. They are normally sent into CS4 as rejects, so just follow the process in Freshdesk for rejects, if it is requested as such. If the PTRA comes back and requests that they would like their Bad Order team to look at it, you can put it in bad order until they check the car and determine if they will fix the car. Please DO NOT add to the OB list if the PTRA requests to look at it.
