The ABS is on KCS leased track, meaning the routing for waybills on the ABS will look different than other roads.
Inbound
For example, an inbound car from the CSXT should read: CSXT BRKWA – KCS ARTES – ABS
The KCS will be listed as an intermediate between the CSXT and the ABS, even though the KCS will not ever handle this car. The RWC should be an Inbound from the CSXT.
Outbound
For example, an outbound car to the NS should read: ABS TUSCA – KCS TUSCA – NS
The KCS will be listed as an intermediate between the NS and the ABS, even though the KCS will not ever handle this car. The RWC should be an Outbound to the NS.
RWCNeeded
All cars need to be immediately ICR on the ABS. This includes all RWCNeeded cars, cars on the wrong Load/Empty status and cars with incomplete waybills. If Operations cannot constantly and immediately move cars, they will lose them.
Once the car is online, you can add switch instructions to help Operations, and begin to correct the car. Once the proper EDI has been received, the car can be removed from inventory and re-ICR if needed.
